Bread and Butter Martini

In a small saucepan, combine and heat until sugar is dissolved:
⅓ cup cider vinegar
¼ cup brown sugar
1 tbsp salt
2 tsps coriander seeds
½ tsp black peppercorns
¼ tsp allspice berries
When syrup is cooled, pour into a quart jar, and add:
1 small to medium sliced cucumber
1 large sprig fresh dill
2 cloves peeled garlic
Fill the jar with vodka and seal. Gently shake the jar to mix, then keep it in the refrigerator for at least a week. To serve, strain 4oz of the mixture into a shaker with ice, add a splash of dry vermouth, shake, and strain into a large martini glass. Garnish with a fresh cucumber wheel.
